octopussy
i've never seen a real life octopus. nor a whole, dead one (those baby fried-and-crunchy ones don't count). not even at the fresh seafood stalls at the markets. i like to know how the animals i'm eating look like when they're alive. chicken (and all other fowl), cows, pigs, seafood, etc.
oh. we were on the subject of roadkill just the other day, and a friend was saying how his friends ran over a kangaroo once, promptly got off their 4WD, carried the carcass into the vehicle and brought it home where they skinned and consumed it! weird how a "national" animal becomes a meal on the table. wonder if anybody eats wombats or koalas...
at prime poseur paradise, chapel street today. this place has EXCELLENT food, especially octopus in lemon oil! could've just died and gone to heaven and came back for just for the next bite!

Cheers.
I love to eat baby octpuss!
But The Boyfriend hates them. He said they are really intelligent.. so it's not right for him to eat them! hahaaha
yummy...!
i likes octopus...
kitty: the tentacles add to the texture of it all! haha! nice to feel them in your mouth!
fat fingers: really? they're intelligent? wat about squid? oh no... now i feel a tad sorry to have enjoyed eating the octopus so much.
elmo: octopus was an acquired taste for me... i think i only started eating them a year ago! on sushi!
aussie spirit: why the disgust with seafood? you'd go no further than fish and chips? actually it ain't all that bad. expecially with white wine, or beer! they go really well!
how does a kangeroo taste like?
like chicken? beef? pork?
miryclay: no idea, really. i saw kanga patties over at the frozen meat section of the supermart the other day... didn't venture to buy it though. :) probably like beef, i reckon. red meat and all...
